Description of the Resort The Taj Holiday Village:

Built in 1981, this beach hotel is the perfect combination of modern elegance and Goan Portuguese architecture. The resort is a picture-postcard hamlet lining the beach. The vista has been re-designed with the gardens, and styled to complement the inherent essence of the resort. Facilities on offer to guests include a lobby area, a currency exchange facility, a hairdressing salon, a bar, a restaurant and WLAN Internet access. Guests may also take advantage of the room and laundry services and there is parking for those arriving by car. The hotel also provides a conference room which seats up to 40 persons auditorium-style or up to 50 persons for cocktails and receptions. Beach parties and barbecues can also be arranged.

All guestrooms offer rustic, tropical-inspired decor and comfortable interiors. The hotel comprises cottages with garden views and balconies on the first floor. The luxurious cottages face the recently renovated garden and have between 4 and 8 rooms. All cottages have a DVD player, LCD TV, 2 phone lines and newly-designed bathrooms with a bathtub.

The hotel features an open air swimming pool with a children's section, and offers a wide range of activities which include: Goan handicrafts, indoor games, nature walks, jummaring, rappelling and rock climbing. There are also sports facilities available, such as the fitness centre and gym, and guests may participate in regular fitness classes or enjoy 5-hole golf, badminton, tennis, squash, table tennis, billiards, cricket batting and beach volleyball.
